Who we are…
Our senior squad trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 pm and typically participates in competitive fixtures on Saturday afternoons. For age group training and playing times, please refer to the menu item “Teams” and select the appropriate age group.
We are an ambitious and inclusive rugby club with the objective of providing skills development and playing opportunities for individuals from the age of two to 82. The club operates two adult XVs engaged in competitive rugby. The first XV, known as “The Reds,” competes in the Arnold Clark National League Division 4 and also participates in the National League Cup. Our second XV also participates in a competitive league this year, the Arnold Clark Intercity Reserve League Division 2, alongside second and third XVs from several of Scotland’s leading rugby clubs.
The club maintains playing squads at all age grades, ranging from preschool to veteran. Additionally, we are actively involved in numerous local schools, where our Rugby development team conducts Rugby sessions aligned with various schools. Notably, the Linlithgow Academy School of Rugby is now well established, and we have also developed spin-off schools of rugby at Armadale Academy and Queensferry High School.

Becoming a Member / Renewing membership
We offer a diverse range of membership categories tailored to individual requirements and preferences. We encourage parents to actively participate through family memberships, which provide various discounts and advantages. Memberships can be settled with a single upfront payment or via ten monthly instalments, providing flexibility to suit your financial situation.
Prior to registration, we strongly advise you to carefully evaluate the membership plan that best aligns with your needs. You have the option to register as an individual or as part of a family. It is generally more cost-effective to register youth players as part of a family membership.
For further information on the types of membership and their associated benefits, please refer to the detailed information provided further down this page.

Joining for first time…
In collaboration with our membership partner, Clubforce, we have implemented an online membership, communication, and administrative system. This system operates seamlessly through a mobile application called Clubforce Connect, which we highly recommend that all members download. You can conveniently obtain this application from the App Store or Google Play.

Upon initial application of the Clubforce Connect application, kindly locate the plus sign situated under the “Clubs” section. Subsequently, input the name of Linlithgow Rugby Club and select it from the available options. The club’s logo will now be displayed on your screen. Clicking on this logo will direct you to the Club page within the application, as outlined below.
Once you have determined the appropriate membership category for your needs, proceed by selecting either the “Select Plan” for individual membership or the “Select Bundle” button for a family membership.
Individual Membership
Choose “Select Plan” and this will take you directly to the registration page.
Family Membership
Choose “Select Bundle” and this will prompt a pop-up box with a brief title indicating “Added to Summary.” You should scroll to the bottom of the page to access the summary. From there, select the correct number of individuals from the relevant categories before proceeding. Remember this allows for two adults. The “Continue” button will only become available to highlight after selecting the appropriate number of individuals.
Additional Information
Benefits of Full or Family Memberships
All members have access to the Club and its facilities.
Full voting members have the following additional rights:
- one vote per member or family at all special, general or annual general meetings of the Club,
- access to ONE “free” hire of the Clubhouse each year (in their own name),
- access to apply for international rugby tickets through Club allocation system of Scottish Rugby.
- access to the Club gym at no additional charge (exception is for Life or Honorary members not paying an annual subscription – a small charge is payable).
Please note that the these rights do not apply to full non-voting members, ie Social Members, Playing members under 18 years of age and any affiliated Club members.
Family Membership
Family membership covers both adult partners in addition to all youth players and this membership category offers discounted rates.
Please note that membership for Wee Reds Micros (P1 to P3) is free for all Family Members. Tiny Reds (pre-school) membership, though, is a separate category (see below) and is charged per individual.
Non-Playing Family membership means there’s no adult player in the family – choose the specific category based on the number of youth players (ie those from P4 to U18)
Playing Family membership means there is one adult player in the family – choose the specific category based on the number of youth players (ie those from P4 to U18).
Individual Memberships
There’s quite a range of categories here, but they fall into generally one of five groups:
Adult players – with a discount variation for those NOT in full-time employment
Youth players – Wee Reds Micros (P1-P3), Wee Reds Minis (P4 -P7) or Young Reds (S1 -U18)
Full members (non playing) – as it says on the tin!
Social members – can choose basic, with touch rugby, with touch rugby and gym, or a new variation – “country social” (see below)
Life & Honorary members – they’ll know who they are!
Youth players under 18s
Please note that all under 18s must be registered by an adult (parent or guardian).
New Social Membership category variation
Country Social Membership – support the Club from a distance. We have a number of loyal members and supporters who now live far away (over 50 miles) from Linlithgow. We invite you to take out our new “Country Social Membership” package. At £30 per annum it gives you an arms-length Social membership of the Club and you’ll be very welcome on any occasion that you are able to visit.
New Tiny Reds category
This season, we are introducing the “Tiny Reds” category to our annual membership subscription. This will be a separate and additional category to other memberships, as they will be conducted by a paid community coach. The annual fee can be paid either as a one-time upfront payment or by 10 monthly instalments. For those who are unsure about committing to a full season, we will offer individual session payments at £5 payable on the day. However, we would prefer regular users to pay by annual subscription.
Club Lotto – you could win the jackpot while helping to fundraise
Next step is click the “CONTINUE” button and this will take you to a page to register each person in turn (only yourself if it’s an individual category!), before you’ll be invited to check-out. At this stage you’ll have an option of adding a lotto promotion. This is new and is a voluntary way to support the running of the Club. As you’ll see below, we strive to keep Membership Fees low, but that only covers part of the costs. Participating in the Club Lotto is one way you can help close our funding gap! The jackpot is currently over £1,100 and will increase with each roll-over! This season we will be introducing spot prizes to ensure that 50% of the takings are paid out in prizes!
Finally checkout and select your payment option and pay. Thank-you.
Membership Fees – an explanation
As a Club we are able to partly subsidise our playing costs, through a mix of sponsorship, fundraising and social functions. Our aim is to keep our membership fees as low and as fair as possible to encourage more people to get involved in rugby and sports in general. Fees are set by members at the Annual General Meeting and, for the last few seasons, we have operated an agreed policy to cover at least 50% of our direct costs through the membership fee.
This leaves a fair amount of income to be generated from other sources and this season we are introducing a couple of initiatives to help generate a bit more cash to support the running of the Club. Remember that we are a charity and all monies generated will go back into the running of the Club and the furtherance of our development plans.
This year, when you set up your membership plan, you will be invited to join our new “Club Lotto”. This is entirely voluntary and we understand that not all members will wish to take part. However, it’s an effective way of generating support funds for our rugby operations.
