P6 unbeaten at Hamilton RFC Tournament
Report by Graham Mckenzie
On Sunday 3rd May the P6 team travelled through to Hamilton for their home tournament. With it being the bank holiday weekend, we were a bit short on numbers but that didn’t stop the 10 strong team showing up and performing to the highest standard!
First up was Strathaven, this was the first time playing this side, we started off slow but picked up and showed some great attacking play and solid defence, walking away with a 3-0 victory
Second up was a game against the hosts Hamilton who were a big side. The boys started the game scoring two early tries before having to show off some strong defence, winning it 3-2.
Up next was Dalziel again another big team, however the boys were now in full flow and scoring try after try, working well as a team and walking away with a big win, 10-1!
Last up was GHA who recently beat us at the Stewart Melville Festival so the boys had a point to prove. From the start the boys were excellent, showing strong tackles and some great passing, they walked away with a 6-1 victory to round off a brilliant afternoon.
Well done team! A big thank you to Hamilton for inviting us through for what was a great tournament.
