Wee Reds P6s on tour!

Report by Gordon White

Last weekend, the P6s (and large supporters club) were on tour in the Lake District, having fun as a group both on and off the rugby field.

It was a packed few days! On Friday, the team explored their home for the weekend on the banks of Lake Windermere, did a quiz and eventually got to bed very very late. Saturday was spent playing games against Penrith and Kendal, watching Kendal’s 1st team match in the sunshine, eating lots of pizza and singing songs together around the (small) campfire. Despite being very tired, Sunday was another busy day, with a game against Kirkby Lonsdale, and a final few squad photos before heading up the road. The mini buses were definitely a lot quieter on the way home than on the way down!

Although each game was played against very strong teams, the coaches and all the parents were so proud of how the boys stepped up as a squad and performed to the highest standard. The games were also a great chance for the boys to start learning the rules that will be applicable to them next season in P7.

The weekend in numbers:
