P6s triumphant at Livingston

Report by Gordon White

The final game of 2025 for the P6’s was a local derby against Livingston RFC. Despite all the bugs, Christmas busyness and minor injuries, another large squad of the Reds travelled over the Dechmont Hills to enjoy 3 mini games against our West Lothian neighbours.

With the past few weeks of training concentrating on rucking, tackling and passing, the boys demonstrated these improved skills against a strong Livingston outfit.

 The final scores were :

Game 1 Linlithgow 6-5 Livingston

Game 2 Linlithgow 6-3 Livingston

Game 3 Linlithgow 6-4 Livingston

Some of the highlights of the morning included:

Ruaridh and Cailean’s strong debut performances.

Rory’s smashing tackle that knocked the Livingston attacker flying.

Finlay’s length of the field try.

Harrison’s breakaway run out of defence.

Dexter’s dive for the line (despite pulling along 3 Livingston defenders).

And finally, Archie’s last minute try after some great handling across the team.

Then came the most anticipated game of the day….. The P6 Parents (and Grandparents) vs The P6 Squad. With the ice packs at the ready and plenty of energy and skilful play from both teams,  the score ended 0 – 0.

If only Senior Stump had held on to that pass with the try line beckoning, the parents could have brought home the bragging rights!

 Merry Christmas Everyone!
