U18s too strong for BATS in first game of the season

Saturday 26 August 2023

Report by Graeme Miller

The U18’s travelled into Edinburgh to play their first game of the season against BATS. We arrived to find they only had 13 players so we agreed to play three twenty minute sessions giving them 2 different players each time from our squad of 21.

Although BATS had some quality in their ranks, our boys proved too strong in all departments and it was very pleasing to see training moves with both backs and forwards being executed well. The boys ran in 10 trys, winning all three sessions,  22-0, 21-7 and 19-5 with one of their trys coming from, well almost from, one of our own wingers, on lone to them!

A great around performance with our trys coming from Rory, Callum(x2), Captain Cammy, Jack, Alex(x2), Oogie, Reece and Robert. Conversions were from Fraser(x5) and Ruairi(x1).

Bring on the rest of the season!
